Wet Market Tour

The tour begins with a small group, wet market walking tour. Introduction of the various food stables consumed by the locals and explanations of the Chinese eating culture will be given.

While there are other seemingly similar market tour/cooking classes on offer in Hong Kong, caution is warranted as some of these classes may not be conducted in licensed facility with questionable third party liability coverage.

Once we make our way back to the studio, a 4-course meal (3 – hands-on, 1 – demonstration dish) class is to follow. Conducted in a professional kitchen. After everything that’s said and done, the students can then relax and enjoy their own cooked meals in the studio.

Our format is two persons per team, the class duration is typically 4.5 hours. If you like to get your hands dirty in the kitchen, you will be glad you come to us!

Seeing is believing, here are some of the sample dishes:

Braised pork belly Hu Nan Style
Cantonese Stir Fry
Curry Chicken Hong Kong Style
Hot and Sour Soup
Gong Pao Tofu
Pan-Fried Prawns with Milk and Egg Whites

We consider the degree of difficulty for each dish, ease of finding the key ingredients in your part of the world before we are to suggest the menu. We want you to be able replicate what you have learnt here at home!

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach used by many other cooking studio establishments, to the extent practical for your group, we will ask for your taste preference first and customize the menu for your group.
